The Path Back Home after Hurricane Ike...

I decided that since we are back in the house, I would add to the blog a quick overview of what the past 7 months had in store for us when we returned from the storm...This is a picture of the pecan tree that fell on the roof.

you never realize how exciting an unfinished house can be to you until you have your own house down to nothing but the studs!!

Jake sees his "new" house for the first time...

He started out checking out the kitchen area...
then, headed into his bathroom to check it out...

"MOM!! What is going on here?!"

Then, it didn't take him any time at all to figure out that this was his room....and to take out ALL the toys!

But, he had to make a second stop to check out his bathroom before continuing to tour the rest of the house!

Jacob's New Friend
