Well, I know that we have been bad about updating our blogspot, but with the craziness of living in an apartment and not having a camera, it has been difficult to do so...but, good news!!! We got a camera today! So, we have had so much fun taking pictures of Jacob this evening. We also have pictures of Jake's 1st Birthday Party that we will be posting, but I have to get the memory card from Jake's Di and then I can post. Check back in the next couple of days to see those pics!

Sorry we have not posted in so long!

Hello everyone! I am so sorry that we have not posted anything in so long! We have been quite busy with evacuating and now fixing our house after Hurricane Ike. I figured I would go ahead and at least give a written update and hopefully add pictures later on. Jacob is doing well. After we returned home, he got sick, and had pneumonia in his right lung, but was a trooper, and is doing better now. Man, what a nightmare it was to watch them stick him to try to get an IV for fluids. I almost got into a fist fight with his ER nurse. Yes, I am the nurse in the family, but like my mom told me, its amazing the things you will do for your kids - even if it means making the nurse's life a living hell for a while! Jacob is definately a growing boy - 21 pounds! He is crawling and pulling up on EVERYTHING in sight! Happy as ever, he is always looking for something new to get those little hands on! Anyways, I guess that is our update as of now. We will be out of our house for now, as there was a tree that decided to fall into poor Baby Jacob's room - but at least no one was there and we are all safe! We will post pics as soon as I get some new ones.

JULY 2008 - 6 MONTHS OLD!

Jacob went for his 6 month Dr appointment yesterday. He got his shots, which was sad, as always. It broke my heart to hear him crying as he realized that the Dr. was not someone he wanted anything to do with! He weighed in at a whopping 19 pounds and 9 ounces. He now has 2 teeth and is sitting up on his own. We have also graduated to our big boy bath tub, and we are trying to crawl, but have not yet figured it out...I'm think it will not be too much longer!
