then, headed into his bathroom to check it out...

"MOM!! What is going on here?!"

Then, it didn't take him any time at all to figure out that this was his room....and to take out ALL the toys!

But, he had to make a second stop to check out his bathroom before continuing to tour the rest of the house!

WE ARE BACK!!!!!

Okay, I have heard that some of you have been very upset with me for not posting anything on our blog for so long...so, I am dedicating this to all of you!! We are moving back into our house this weekend, and are SOOOOOOO excited about it. We will also be getting a new friend for Jake to boss around....a Lab Puppy! We will be taking lots of pics for you to see within the next few days and the weeks ahead as Jacob gets used to his newly remodeled home and his new puppy friend! I hope you all forgive my neglect of the blog and continue to check back for updated pics of our little man! Enjoy!

Jake's Easter Egg Hunt

Here is Jake diggint in his easter basket (a puppy dog easter basket) looking for some treats!
It did not take him long to figure out that there was something inside of each egg for him!

Seems like he is a natural at the Easter Egg Hunting! He must take after his "Unc" rather in his Mommy in this category!!

He is so good he can find TWO at a time towards the end of the morning!!!

The other morning, after we spent the night at Casey's parent's house, Jake came running into the living room and hopped in his PawPaw Stedman's lap with the newspaper like it was his regular routine...it was SO funny because he sat there for several minutes like he actually was reading the paper! I HAD to catch some pics of it!
Here, the blurred view of the paper is PawPaw and Jake shaking out the paper to get it situated to read.

Jake has learned to lick his finger when it is difficult to turn a page...how quickly little minds pick up the things around them!

"What?! I am trying to read the paper!!!"

Jake's First Haircut

Well, today, Jacob said his name for the first time...loud and clear! And, ofcourse, Mommy did not cry when he sat up, crawled, or started walking...I did not even cry at his Birthday...but today for some reason, hearing him say his name struck a cord...and I was crying like a baby. I guess I realized that he is really growing up so quickly right before our eyes! I did tell Di, however that even though our baby is not a baby anymore...I still do not want another one for a good while!
Jacob was less than thrilled about getting his hair cut...but we were able to get him to sit with Daddy to get a little cut around his ears...

This was AFTER he threw a HUGE fit everytime Daniel tried to cut his hair...

Jacob Turns 1 Year Old!!!

Our baby boy is 1 Year old! We cannot believe how quickly the past year has flown by! Jacob is now 25 pounds and 13 ounces. He is 29 inches long. He is walking and playing just like the funloving little boy that he is! The Birthday Boy!!
